Follow on Google News | Talkin’ Tourism radio show to broadcast live Friday, August 13, from Cape Eleuthera, BahamasThe Treasure Coast based talk radio show Talkin’ Tourism on Florida’s Treasure Coast (and Beyond), is back on the road this week, this time broadcasting live from Cape Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
By: Misti Guertin, APR Guests this week include Stephen Kappeler, general manager of Cape Eleuthera Resort and Yacht Club, and Vernice Walkine, Director General of the Bahamas Mininstry of Tourism. Kappeler will discuss environmental best practices and highlight the merits of the national Blue Flag Programme. Cape Eleuthera Resort and Yacht Club is one of three marinas in the Bahamas to earn Blue Flag designation. Director General Vernice Walkine will outline Bahamas tourism efforts, programs, and insider tips on this offshore vacation destination. Special guest co-host Ed Griffith, general manager of the Courtyard Hutchinson Island Oceanside/Jensen Beach, will join host Gary Guertin this week in place of regular co-host Robin Hicks-Connors. Every week, Talkin’ Tourism profiles events and activities, travel tips and stories, culture and history from across the Treasure Coast and beyond. Talkin’ Tourism’s last live remote was broadcast in July from Bimini at the grand opening of the Bimini Big Game Club, a Guy Harvey Outpost Resort and Marina. This week’s show marks the 82nd for the radio program. Talkin’ Tourism airs every Friday on WPSL 1590 AM from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m and is streamed live on the Internet at www.wpsl.com.
