Russia Advertising revenues up 15% in Q2

Aug. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- According to Russia’s Association of Communication Agencies, advertising revenues reached 105 billion rubles (US$ 3.52 billion) in the first half of 2010, recording a 10% increase compared with the same period last year. Second quarter revenues grew by almost 15% year-over-year.

The Russian ad market had strongly suffered the effects of the economic crisis in 2009. With around 55% market share in advertising expenditure, the free TV industry had clearly reflected the weakening of the ad market in the country, falling 20% year over year. In the first semester of 2010, TV advertising increased 8% compared with the same period last year.
