Funeral Director Buried In Free Publicity

Just when you thought being in the Funeral Business could not get more 'boring', then  comes along Barry Miller to shake up the industry with his weird stunt. Barry Miller of McGuire, Jennings & Miller from Georgia U.S.A. offered a free funeral if people signed up to his deal.

If the person signed up and admitted he or she planned to drink and drive on New Years Eve, crashed and killed themselves while intoxicated, Miller would give them a casket, flowers and a burial all for free.

Press release writer Ewen Vile says, "in Barry's case, he was seen as the 'good guy' in his community because most people want to see the drunks off the road. No one has signed up for it after a few years running. It also sent a chilling reminder to drunks. Also if anybody signed up, he would be on the phone to the police immediately."
