Naperville Area Humane Society Hosts Annual Adopt-A-Thon

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 9, 2010 - Please join Naperville Area Humane Society as it hosts its annual adopt-a-thon, which takes place Saturday and Sunday, August 28 and 29 at the Naperville Area Humane Society, located at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville. The Humane Society will have extended adoption hours each day, with Saturday hours from 2:00p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We began our adopt-a-thon as a way to bring awareness to the wonderful animals waiting at NAHS for their new forever homes,” noted Angie Wood, executive director of the Naperville Area Humane Society. “We want everyone to make adoption the first choice when adding a pet to the family. NAHS staff is working hard to have over 18 dogs/puppies and 30-40 cats/kittens ready to go to good homes.”

All animals are up to date on core vaccinations, spayed or neutered and microchipped. Cats are FeLV negative, and dogs are tested for heartworm disease. During the adopt-a-thon, each adopter will receive a free starter kit with every adoption.
