Aug. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- The newly released book, LOOKS EASY ENOUGH, A Joyful Memoir of Overcoming Disease, Divorce, and Disaster by Scott Stevenson is an inspirational tale about overcoming adversity . . . with a smile.  The book was selected as Book Bundlz' Book Pick of the Year and then for some unknown reason Book Bundlz turned around and trashed the book in two of their reviews, one giving it only two stars (or upside down bugs - not sure what the symbol is).  It's the first time LOOKS EASY ENOUGH has not recieved at least a four-star rating.  Check out the book review http://www.bookbundlz.com and the book LOOKS EASY ENOUGH at http://www.lookseasyenough.com and let me know what you think (stevenson.scott55@gmail.com)!

Follow the adventures of the author Scott Stevenson and his wife Susan on their grown-up love story as it weaves in and around an inspirational tale of overcoming some pretty tough times.  The book, LOOKS EASY ENOUGH, A Joyful Memoir of Overcoming Disease, Divorce, and Disaster, begins when, at the age of forty-six, Mr. Stevenson marries for the first time, retires, and moves with his bride to a small mountain town to live the simple life. Instead, he finds himself supporting his wife through cancer - who abandoned conventional protocol in favor of organic foods, natural medicines, meditation, and psychotherapy - helping his sister through a grueling four-year divorce, painfully witnessing their retirement money circle the drain in the biggest stock market crash since the Great Depression, and watching as a thousand-foot wall of dense smoke and raging flames approaches their home - the home they spent the last three years building themselves.  With the flames less than a hundred yards from their back door, they decide to evacuate . . . realizing they could lose everything.  Yet through it all - cancer, divorce, market crashes, and forest fires - Mr. Stevenson tries to focus on what he calls the big picture of life - THE MAGIC . . . and ultimately comes out with a smile.
The refrain, "looks easy enough," is Mr. Stevenson's general attitude towards life's many processes - from breast reconstruction, to pouring concrete foundations to filing legal documents.  It is also intended as an empowering affirmation to inspire readers with the confidence that they, too, can tackle even the most disheartening of life's challenges and land on their feet.

"Looks Easy Enough is the Eat, Pray, Love for guys - which women will adore.  The manuscript has a distinctive, humorous, intimate voice that is a joy to read.  Men will love this book because it's all about process - step-by-step how-to knowledge.  Women will love it because it's all about the things women value most: family, friends, spirituality, and love."    ------  Carol Gaskin, Editorial Alchemy

"The finished product brings together all the suspense of a Dan Brown Thriller and the philosophical search of Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love."    ------  Glenda Winders, Uptown News.
