By: Cheryl Frampton and Gerry McMullan Topic: UK Liberal Democrats and Conservative Politicians Backs USA Based Author. Date: 6th August Time: 2pm Screen actor Charlie Sheen has proved once more that depending on who you are you can virtually get away with murder or near as. Bestselling author Cheryl Frampton whose book “For Crying Out Loud” caught the public’s attention on the abuse she endured at the hands of her former husband has hit back at the sentence passed down on screen actor Charlie Sheen. This sentence is laughable, not only has he disgraced his family name, he has flaunted the law of this country in the face of women who live in fear of beating and threats of death if they stand up for their quality of life and safety of their children. Ms Frampton went on to say, I am disgusted and sickened by this man who has made millions of dollars from his movies yet he has a temper that puts another human being and the mother of his children in fear of her life. Where are her rights in this country when it comes to beatings and threats with a knife? Instead Brooke Muller sees a judge pass a sentence which is too tragic for words. She along with millions of other women across this country is living in fear because politicians and the law choose to ignore their pleas on tougher sentences, as opposed to standing up for their quality of life and dignity as a human being and as a proud American mom. Ms Frampton came through beatings and threats on her life and lost a child in pregnancy at the hands of her husband. “People would rather close their doors to this issue and I nearly accepted my life’s fate by keeping quiet about my life, let alone the impact on my own sons.” In my depths of despair I found one spark of courage to stand up and say “No More Abuse.” The Law has to change. My life and that of my children was worth something and I limped out of a life with a man that could have taken my life. Now today we hear that this young woman who should be leading a secure life of contentment with her husband and children has been subjected to beatings and threats to her life. What kind of a man no matter whom he is in this country would subject his wife to beatings and hold a knife to her throat if she told anyone about what he did especially on Christmas Day? Speaking out once more Ms Frampton is asking that the women of the United States of American stand up and say “No More Abuse.” If my comments can start here in this great State of Oregon and speared across the country so be it. Support is spreading across the United Kingdom and now a new breed of political force is starting to make sure women have their rights and quality of life is protected. We need updated laws. Mr. Sheen should think himself very fortunate he lives in the USA because if he had lived in Scotland or England he would have been languishing in jail for his crimes against his wife and young children.
