Aug. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Chicago, IL – Brianna Sylver and Cori Schauer will speak at the Qualitative Research Consultants Association 2010 Annual Conference (QRCA-2010) happening in Philadelphia, October 13-15. The theme for this year’s conference will be “Innovation, Instinct and Vision.”

Brianna and Cori will present a workshop entitled: “Organize, Visualize and Collaborate: Using Graphic Design Frameworks in Analysis to Achieve Deeper Insights.” They will share five frameworks borrowed from the graphic design field, which they use to analyze research data. Each framework allows them to organize and display data in new ways, and yield fresh insights that can’t be achieved from reading project transcripts or notes alone.

Brianna explains, “Each of the five frameworks that we’ll share in this workshop are tools that can be used differently dependent on the project’s objectives. At times they can be used as tools for data collection, in some cases to facilitate the analysis of data collected and in other instances, as diagrams or maps to succinctly communicate and share ideas with executive and design teams.

Coming from the Design field, I’ve learned a lot from the QRCA community thus far. I’m excited to offer content back to them that really represents Sylver Consulting’s path to Market Research.”

Cori adds, “The design research field has utilized visualization tools for a long time, and I’m excited to see how researchers from other qualitative backgrounds will respond to the frameworks we present. I expect Brianna and I will learn just as much as our participants, specifically how the qualitative research community might employ these frameworks in ways we hadn’t thought of previously.”

The workshop is for anyone who wants to learn concrete visualization methods for extracting deep insights from any data set. For more information please visit
