Stevens-Henager College unveils new Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

Aug. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Salt Lake City, Utah – Stevens-Henager College has added new undergraduate and graduate degrees to its list of sought after academic programs.  

The degrees, some of which are offered online, are designed for individuals looking for fast-track, career-focused education in fields that are in demand. The new undergraduate programs offered at Stevens-Henager College include Bachelor’s degrees in Health Science and Graphic Arts.

The Bachelor’s of Health Science degree, which is fully online, prepares graduates for a variety of administrative careers in the healthcare sector by imparting managerial and organizational skills. The program covers courses ranging from Healthcare Economics and Legal and Ethical Aspects of Healthcare Administration to Issues in Public Health and Clinical Information System. The program also includes clinical topics like Human Pathology and Advanced Human Anatomy that are relevant for a healthcare professional.

The degree can be earned in just 20 months, but the eligibility criterion is an Associate’s-level degree in Health Science.

The college has also introduced a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, available at its Salt Lake City/Murray and Provo/Orem campuses. Though Stevens-Henager College already offered an Associate’s degree in the same field, the Bachelor’s degree is a lot more comprehensive and covers diverse topics that provide theoretical knowledge as well as practical training to graduates.  

The degree can be completed in just 30 months with Stevens-Henager College’s flexible and accelerated FastFlex schedule. However, students also have the option of graduating in 36 months.

Apart from these undergraduate degrees, Stevens-Henager College is also offering a new graduate degree in nursing education. The Master of Science in Nursing Education program, which is open to licensed Registered Nurses only, prepares graduates for careers as nurse educators.

The nursing education degree program includes courses on topics such as Health Services Organization and Management, Outcomes Assessment and Quality Management, Advanced Nursing Theory, Leadership Theory, etc. This is a fully online degree offered by the Salt Lake City/Murray campus and can be earned in just 15 months.

With the addition of these new programs, Stevens-Henager College has increased its repertoire of popular, high demand courses. The college already offers degrees in fields like nursing, healthcare administration, information technology, accounting, and business administration.
