Free Smoothie Event in Mississauga Saturday August 7

Prairie Naturals' smoothie chefs are setting up in different locations around Vancouver and Toronto every Saturday throughout August - refreshing people with delicious, organic smoothies as part of their summer "Colours of Health" campaign which aims to educate consumers about the benefits of eating phytonutrient-rich foods.

Lucretia Schanfarber, Marketing Director at Prairie Naturals explains -
"This is about celebration, education and refreshment. We want to reward people for making healthy food choices, and to entice them with amazing taste."

Smoothies include organic fruits and berries, Prairie Naturals' own organic Lean Whey protein powder and Berry-Force, a phytonutrient-rich berry and greens blend. A vegan option with Canadian grown, raw hemp protein is also being served. Kiju Organic fruit juice provides the base.

In support of the environment, smoothie cups are made from biodegradable and compostable vegetable fibre.
