.co Domains: Go for it says Web Design Agency in North Wales

Aug. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- With it getting ever harder to obtain a great domain name with the only way to get one is to make it longer and longer, ICANN have recently launched the new .co domain name.

In the past, several new domain 'tlds' have been launched and most of them have already been forgotten. Not many people own a .gb.com domain! However, web design company SiteOne anticpates that the new .co domain will eventually be a big hit.

SiteOne's owner, MIke Wootten said, "We expect .co's to become a popular domain name. It's short and opens up so many opportunitues for companies to obtain a domain name that fits their business better."

It is unclear at the moment whether Google will give equal weight to a .co compared to the mighty .com. But time will tell. 'From an SEO perspective, .co's really open up the chances of getting a short, keyword-rich domain name', said Mike.

Unfortunately though, some domain suppliers are charging large sums of money for the registration of the .co domain. SiteOne's advice is to shop around to find the best deal. But dont leave it too late!
