Infiniti of Scottsdale Continues to Host Trackdays at Firebird International Raceway

Aug. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Infiniti of Scottsdale is proud to sponsor the seventh annual Trackdays event, scheduled for Sunday, October 3rd. This event is free, and open to anyone who purchased their Infiniti from Pinnacle Infiniti or Infiniti of Scottsdale. The gates open at 7 AM, with activities starting at 7:30. This is an all-day affair, so make sure to come prepared. Spectators are encouraged to bring all of their "tailgating" equipment, such as blankets and lawn chairs. http://www.infinitiofscottsdale.com

Over 70 hi-performance Infinitis were driven during the last Trackdays event at the world-renowned race track. Over 100 spectators watched as the drivers dominated over 4,000 miles of asphalt. Trackdays has become a nationally known event, increasing in popularity throughout the Infiniti community and beyond. The upcoming race day will offer four tracks to try out, complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages, a DJ, and items for sale at the IOS Performance.com booth. All skill levels are encouraged to participate and there will be in-car and on-track coaches there to assist. Classroom instruction from Larry & Vickie Pond's Team X Factor, an affiliate of ASA Racing, will also be provided for first-timers. Additionally, all drivers will receive ASA certification as well as ID cards.

Infiniti of Scottsdale broke ground in 1988 - a full 2 years before we opened to the public. Our building was designed and built as the prototype for the Brand's dealership network to follow. Ours was among the first handful of buildings that Infiniti built in the USA. Infiniti used our facility here for training. All initial dealer training, during the launch of Infiniti in the United States, took place here. Our first location, at 64th & McDowell, is still remembered often by hundreds of our customers from those days. From 1998 through 2009, we operated at 6910 East McDowell Road, in what was known as the Scottsdale Motor Mile.
