Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favorite websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place. RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader," "feed reader," or "aggregator,"
A standardized XML file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different programs. The user subscribes to a feed by entering into the reader the feed's URI or by clicking on an RSS icon in a web browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new work, downloads any updates that it finds and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds.
As the web is becoming more global in nature, YYZ Translations will be in a position to help RSS feed publishers reach a wider international audience. The translation of such blog feeds will be accurate, culturally correct and contextually to the point in comparison with automated machine translation systems like Google Translate.
While it will be available for translating feeds into 80 languages, it is anticipated that Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish will be the dominant languages for this service. The translation of feeds can be performed in one or more languages simultaneously, and the translated feed will be returned within minutes of receipt. Thanks to the global network of translators employed by YYZ Translations in combination with its technology platform, delivery of such services is possible.
