Founded by Tony Phelan, Grant’s father, in 1997, Pinchers Crab Shack was born of an entrepreneurial spirit and the American dream. Tony had recently moved the family to Florida and been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. But he took a chance and opened Pinchers with 6 employees and hope for a brighter future.
Banding together as a family with a commitment to their customers and quality, the company grew and is now known throughout the Gulf Coast for the freshest seafood and most enjoyable environment. As Tony says, “you never see a baby crying at Pinchers!”
