Local Charity Worker Becomes Cover Girl

July 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Most women will agree that finding ‘me’ time amidst juggling work, family commitments and friends is a struggle, but for one London lass popping to the hair salon was quite literally an impossibility!

Sally Kettle (33yrs) from Kingston, Surrey, splits her time between providing aid to some of the world’s most desperate countries, to sailing the seas single-handedly. This leaves the world-record ocean rower very little time for luxuries such as salons and spas or even showers and shampoo! Which is why we decided Sally deserved to have a celebrity-style makeover.

“My hair is wrecked and ravaged, from weeks without washing and damage caused by the sun, wind and sea.” Said Sally. “When I get back from long trips away, I’m so excited to see my family and friends but I’m always incredibly embarrassed about how I must look! It was my turn to ask for aid!”

So to give Sally a LoveHairColour hand, we whisked her off to the Schwarzkopf Academy for a day of pampering with the amazing Anita Cox-McMillan, top stylist Fiona Parkhouse and make-up artist Chloe Butcher. We then celebrated her new look with a celebrity-style photo-shoot with Britain’s Next Top Model photographer – Nicky Johnston.

“I just love my new look” said Sally “The colour is so rich – my husband didn’t even recognise me!”

And it seems it’s not just Sally’s husband who sat up and took notice – Sally’s gorgeous hair has also made the papers!
