July 30, 2010 - PRLog -- English is considered to be a universal language that is presently tagged as the corporate language as well. Everyone should learn to read, write, and speak English for a global standing. Learning to read and write is not that difficult but learning to speak it fluently requires a good understanding of the words and speech which further has to be compounded with good communication skill.

Here are some of the golden rules to speak good and fluent English:

•   The first rule to learning the language is having a good dictionary. There are dictionaries available in various different languages of the world like Hindi-English, Chinese-English, and many others but always prefer an English-to-English dictionary for gaining better hold on the language. This will help you familiarize yourself with new words and their meanings in a more proficient way. Whatever words you come across try to use them in your speech.
•   On a daily basis practice speaking English with significant inputs from everywhere. It is very important to ensure that there are people around who will point your mistakes and correct you wherever you are wrong. If no one around is good at verbal communication then you are likely to grasp wrong sentences and improper use of words.
•   You can also get inputs from listening to an English radio station, reading books, reading newspaper, or listening to English songs. All these are different inputs that put a great impact on your learning. The human brain store all that it sees, hears, or reads so any such kind of input proves to be the fastest way of learning to speak fluently.
•   While learning to speak don’t put much pressure on the grammar rules as mastering on grammar will help you write effectively but to speak fluently you need to gain command over words. There are no rules for gaining this command; once you know the words you’ll automatically have the fluency in the language.
•   Learn phrases and idioms for better understanding of the language. This will help you make different sentences more efficiently.
•   Submerge yourself completely in the language and practice it on a regular basis with dedication, determination, and confidence.
