To make this a reality, they contacted a fellow parent, Jason Wiener, a member of the Media Arts & Animation faculty at The New England Institute of Art (www.artinstitutes.edu/
“The Bugs” philosophy is, through their music, to educate and help kids solve problems. The students created five short films based on the playful, musical messages of five songs from "The Bugs" first album, "Buggin' Out" to enhance these messages.
The animations will be shown on Wednesday, August 11, when “The Bugs”
offer a children’s music performance at the Brookline Booksmith, Harvard Avenue in Brookline. “The animation will be projected on the wall and the Animation students will be on hand to watch the results of their labors,” says Jason Wiener. “Part of this class is to learn the value of using your talents to be of service to the community. “The Bugs” and I couldn’t think of a better way to do this than to offer a free concert.”
The one-hour, animation-enhanced concert, which is open at no charge to the public, will begin in the downstairs area of the Brookline Booksmith, 279 Harvard Street, in Coolidge Corner at 3:30pm, August 11. For more information, call 617 582-4442.
