Philanthropic Event Series Brings Fashion, Music and Charity To Atlanta

Lo End Theory Atlanta Emerges to Foster Giving, Fashion History and Artistry

In the late 1980s a group of Brooklyn youth, who shared a love for a single clothing brand, united. Their unity and devotion to this brand soon created a lifestyle founded on the notions of loyalty, self-expression through fashion, and survival. The brand was Ralph Lauren; the youth who ushered this brand into mass urban popularity were termed Lo Lifes. Obsessed with more than just the name, the Lo Lifes elevated appreciation for quality clothing and shunned look-a-likes and cheap imitations with their keen admiration for the design and craftsmanship of the brand. Today the name remains, and the loyalty to design and craftsmanship runs just as deep from corporate America to Japan.

Originating in New York as a Lo Life reunion concert, the Lo End Theory is a series of events that pay tribute to the lifestyle that gave way for this motley crew. The Atlanta Edition, spearheaded by Shay Lawson of Advocate Management Group and Janelle Langford of Urban Suite PR, builds upon the original event while merging the philanthropic heart of the brand's creator featuring a concert, fashion show, and brunch to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Often overlooked and less glamorous than other health societies, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is hard at work raising awareness and advocacy within the Atlanta market and neighboring communities through its Team In Training. As the number one cancer-related cause of death in children, the state of urgency for support and consciousness is on the rise. As Ralph Lauren forever changed the scope of fashion, the project visionaries are called to a similar charge of an authentic fashion and music event with a cause.
