The Old City Day School Sets a New Standard for Day School Services

July 28, 2010 - PRLog -- The Olde City Day School integrates various philosophies like the Montessori method and the developmental psychology of multiple intelligences into everyday activities. The teachers, their teaching themes, the classrooms and even the building itself are considered a teaching medium. The architectural design is research-based to create optimal environments for children. The center will also have cameras to allow parents to securely view their kids online or on their phone. The Olde City Day School is transparent and wants the parents to be active in their children’s education. The cameras allow 100% insight to the center and the activities of their child, both for safety and entertainment. On top of the cameras, the center is accessible only to authorized employees and no outsiders can or are allowed in.

The center enrolls children ages 6wks-4yrs for the day school and children ages 5yrs-10yrs for after school activities, both with ambitious curriculums that include Spanish and sign language. The Olde City Day School aims to help mold these young minds into becoming successful future leaders of the world.

The Olde City Day School plans to bring in local restaurants to cater the food for the day care center. Olde City Day School will provide the children with nutritious and flavorful food with tastes from all over the world. The Olde City Day School embraces and wants be in the forefront of the food revolution that is going on in the USA and are proud to take a big leap towards a healthier generation of children.

Dana Meade, the Executive Director for The Olde City Day School has over 15 yrs experience in early childhood education. “We look to raise the bar in childcare services not just by observing but by providing state of the art facilities to aid our staff in creating an environment suitable for children to develop into their full potential.” Says Dana. “We’re very excited to open our doors to the public this summer and start working with the children in the area.”

The Olde City Day School is located on 219 Cuthbert Street in Olde City Philadelphia. The center has their own drop off area allowing parents to drive in and pick-up/drop off without having to find parking. Their hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6:30AM-6:30PM.
