VPWA recently reached a record number of volunteers since the organization’
The microfinance project began in November 2009. Since then, over 8,400 GHC have been given out of loans to a total of over 30 beneficiaries. First and second loan beneficiaries have benefited from the loans, by being able to further their businesses, develop their skills, and make a profit. Microfinance volunteer Cecilia Weihe comments on her experience, “The women of Ghana are very strong and deserving of the microfinance project. I am excited to see what they will be able to accomplish through the generosity of volunteers and donors all over the world.”
The newest VPWA project is working towards the construction of a youth development centre. The construction began 25 days ago through the work of volunteers and local Ghanaian workers. The centre is meant to train African youth in Information Communication and Solar Technology in Damang, near Nsawam of Eastern Region of Ghana. This project, along with many others, will continue through the impact of VPWA’s vision and volunteerism.
Volunteers, donors, and investors are encouraged to become involved in this progress, beginning with VPWA’s website.
