Autumn colours and value for money extend summer wedding season

July 28, 2010 - PRLog -- While most of us are enjoying a British summer that seems to promise some sunshine, Northumberland based Toast Your Event Ltd is taking advantage of the decent weather by planning outdoor weddings far into the autumn. Early autumn weddings are proving popular since a longer summer means events can be planned into September and October.

Northumberland based Toast Your Event creative director Tina Dolder says:

“Autumn colours provide a fantastic backdrop with rich orange, terracotta and brown complimented by dramatic red and deep scarlet. Couples can dare to be different by moving away from traditional white and cream. Terracotta and red or taupe and mocha are proving popular combinations. Autumn allows us to provide a spectacular backdrop in the evening with crystal walls and trees set off by torch lit grounds. In autumn the evenings are a little darker than in summer but it is still warm enough to be outdoors. If the weather does turn chilly, a double lined and heated marquee will prove a respite and a chance to warm up before venturing out again.

“An autumn theme also allows us to get adventurous with food and drink by offering warm apple Pimms, unusual cocktails and hot toddies to round off the evening. We have a couple who have hired a mobile ice rink and themed their evening event to black and white movies, which promises to be great fun. Another advantage for wedding organisers is the excellent value offered by venues when booking what is traditionally seen as ‘out of season’. While it can prove difficult to book a top venue in the summer, the autumn often allows us to offer a much wider choice of venue.
