With an innate ability, Bob set the rules aside and began exploring beyond them, letting his one-of-a-kind creations develop organically. While his hats, scarves and ponchos are featured at Traffic LA and Des Kohan, Bob continues to think outside the knitted box, currently finding inspiration from nature by creating felted wool pods, bowls and birdhouses woven with driftwood, crystals, sea glass, plants and other natural items. Knitting for Bob is a lesson in letting go and not thinking too much, allowing his hands, the yarn and the needles go where they want to go. He has also mentioned that someday he would like to learn how to knit a sweater.
Please join us at Potted on August 8th at 4pm for a reception to see the new installation of Bob Sparkman’s 's hand knitted Tree Pods and see for yourself how amazing they are. You'll never look at wool the same way again.

Potted is the vision of Mary Gray…(commercial set decorator, devoted shopaholic and treasure seeker) and Annette Goliti Gutierrez… (former screenwriter, compulsive house renovator and garden junkie)
Together, we are “The Garden Tarts”.
In 2004, we opened what we envisioned to be a mecca for like-minded, design-loving, garden enthusiasts–
Nestled in the Los Feliz/Atwater Village area of Los Angeles, Potted has become an outdoor-living destination. We continue to be well received not only by the growing number of friends we’ve made in our own fabulous city, but by garden lovers from all over the country.
