July 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Writer and Producer Kevin Kramer has received his first Emmy nomination for his work on Chowder, an animated television series on Cartoon Network. By writing the episode entitled, ‘The Toots’ Kramer helped to secure the nomination in the category of Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program.

The July 8th announcement by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences came as a bit of a surprise to Kramer. “I was hopeful that the production would be nominated. But when I received a text from my good friend and the creator of the show, Carl Greenblatt, I was elated,” says Kramer. “Just to be nominated is wonderful.” Kramer will be attending the Creative Arts Emmy Presentation at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on August 21st.

Besides his staff-writing work on Chowder, Kramer has written for the French animation company Gaumont-Alphanim on the shows, Sophie and Spencer, as well as the Disney animated series, Fish Hooks, which will premiere in the U.S. in fall 2010.

In addition to his work in animation, the Ohio native has worked exhaustively in the reality arena. After leaving NBC in 2005 to pursue work in production, he dedicated himself to the shows, The Biggest Loser and Beauty and The Geek. Although his main efforts are in the scripted genre, Mr. Kramer continues to develop, package and pitch original reality programming.

Recently, Kramer has produced the horror film Lake Death, which wrapped principle photography in May. As well, Kramer is in the early stages of producing The Catacomb Tapes, a horror film slated to begin shooting on location in Paris, France in fall 2010.

Managed by Scottie Ward of Coast Creative Management ( http://www.ccmtalent.com ), Mr. Kramer is near completion of his latest live-action feature screenplay entitled, Tinsel. “It’s a fun, family Christmas comedy,” says Kramer. “Something the whole family can enjoy.” Kramer continues, “It’s the story about a humble little elf who goes on a life-changing journey…one much bigger than he could have ever imagined.” In addition, Kramer is currently developing an original animated series entitled Creepsville, alongside established horror film director Creep Creepersin. They will be pitching the spooky comedy to television networks in the coming months.
