BlackSun Inc. Places First in Edmonton Indy

In the ranks of some other well known sponsors, Canadian Web hosting company BlackSun (www.blacksun.ca) arrived in first place at the Honda Edmonton Indy event on July 25.

The car sponsored by BlackSun belongs to Team Moore Racing (www.teammooreracing.com), which was driven by James Hinchcliffe in the Firestone Indy Lights series.  Prior to Saturday's pre qualifying sessions, Hinchcliffe quoted that he was going to be a tough car to catch. Hinchcliffe drove his Team Moore Racing car to a fastest lap time, holding off rival J.K. Vernay of France by 1.23 seconds to win the Edmonton 100.

“BlackSun is excited to be in Edmonton this weekend.   After an amazing qualifying run on Saturday, we knew we had a chance to win it,” BlackSun chief executive officer Steve Rogoschewsky said in a statement.  "This race weekend is a re-branding of BlackSun's  ‘FAST, Reliable, Web Hosting’ slogan, and having our car place first was an incredible way to launch our 'Accelerate Your Business' initiatives".

Offering domains and a variety shared hosting plans, BlackSun  seeks the attention of small and medium-sized businesses that are looking to establish an online presence, or offload their in-house infrastructure to an external hosting provider.
BlackSun was also found sponsoring a local NASCAR Canadian Tire racing series race this weekend known as the BlackSun 150 in Saskatoon.
