The First Ascent line of outerwear and gear combines Eddie Bauer’s signature approach to creating premium-quality clothing, accessories and gear for the outdoor lifestyle with the expertise of world-renowned mountain guides and climbers. Led by some of the world’s best mountain guides, including Peter Whittaker, Ed Viesturs, and Dave Hahn, the First Ascent Guide Team brings their expertise to design and build every piece of First Ascent gear through rigorous field tests conducted in some of the world’s highest places and most rugged environments.

These socks are built to keep our feet warm on the world’s highest and coldest mountains.”
Point6 founders Peter and Patty Duke have over twenty years of experience within the merino category and were instrumental in establishing the presence of performance wool to the outdoor industry. The Duke’s identified an opportunity to evolve the merino category with Point6 by applying advanced spinning and knitting technologies to superior quality wool, thereby creating a durable result with unsurpassed comfort and performance.
Although a relatively new brand, Point6 is experiencing rapid growth and great reviews, including the most recent accolade of being chosen as the exclusive sock manufacturer for the First Ascent line.
