Tying the Knot on a Tall Ship.

Duluth, MN – June 26, 2010. The port city of Duluth, Minnesota is hosting Tall Ships® Duluth 2010, from July 28 – August 3, 2010 and a private wedding ceremony on board the Pride of Baltimore II, an 1812 replica topsail schooner, will be part of the event schedule.  Following the ceremony, a reception will be hosted at Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior.

The bride-to-be entered a contest sponsored by Minnesota Monthly Magazine and won this unique wedding adventure that will take place Sunday August 1st. The wedding party will be staying just north of Duluth at Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior (www.larsmontcottages.com) and will be chauffeured by An Escape Limousine Service to and from the ceremony, allowing them to take in the scenic views of Lake Superior along the way.

What kind of wedding reception follows this ceremony? A traditional Hawaiian Pig Roast of course. Approximately 50 family members and friends will gather at Larsmont Cottages, where Ledge Rock Grille’s Chef Todd Torrcier (www.ledgerockgrille.com) will prepare his authentic specialty of an outdoor roasted pig with all the accompaniments. Chef Todd, a native of Hawaii has introduced several seasonal specialties, some of which have remained on the menu because of their popularity with restaurant guests.

The pig roast reception celebration will be held outdoors on the patio, with Lake Superior in view.  It is a perfect wedding reception to follow the Tall Ship ceremony.
