Roller Derby with a BONUS third bout for free! Dallas Derby Devils Saturday, July 31st

July 26, 2010 - PRLog -- North Richland Hills, TX – July 31st, 2010:   The Dallas Derby Devils proudly present the fifth bout of the 2010 season, Saturday, July 31st. With 4 sold out bouts down the largest Roller Derby League in North Texas invites everyone out to NYTEX Sports Centre as the last regular season bout is played.  The next bout if for the championship title and the way the season has been going this bout is surely going to be a preview of the Championship bout.  And if that isn’t exciting enough, the girls of the DDD are going to bring you a bonus bout featuring the Devil’s All Star Travel Team, The Hell Razors taking on the Minnesota Roller Girls. Things get started early as the doors will be opening at 5:30pm and the highly anticipated Bonus Bout at 6:00pm.  The regular season action starts with the Death Row Rumblers taking on the Suicide Shifters at 7:30pm, immediately followed by the match up of the season two undefeated teams, the High Seas Hotties taking on the Wrecking Crew.  All teams know that the losers will have to come back and fight extra hard at the championships and a win will only solidify the mental upper hand.  Bring out the family and enjoy the PG-13 fun, the entertainment and athleticism put forth by the girls of the Dallas Derby Devils!

        The competition will take place at NYTEX Sports Centre (8851 Ice House Road, North Richland Hills). Doors open at a special time for the Bonus Bout at 5:30pm and the action will start at 6:00pm. The 2010 season opener hosted 1400 Dallas roller derby fans and has been sold out every game since! Get there early if you want a trackside seat but don’t forget to BYOC (bring your own chair)!  The bleachers will be open, so there will be plenty of room!  The Devils expect another capacity crowd. This bout will sell-out, so get your tickets to this PG-13 event in advance for only $12 if purchased from your favorite derby girl or $13 on our website through Pay-Pal.  If available, tickets at the door will be $15.  Kids 12 and under are free if you choose to bring them. Since the regular season bouts are held at NYTEX, these bouts will NOT be BYOB but thanks to sponsor ZuRoma Sicilian Kitchen, enjoy the newest gift to the fans, $1.00 “derby draft” beers and $1.50 select cans from trackside.  You can’t buy a good six-pack for any cheaper than that!
     
        In other news, the Dallas Derby Devils are under new management!  The league boasts a new attitude worth celebrating. They are still “skater owned and operated” but more skaters have stepped up to take the reins, so you can be assured of the same great sporting action.  To go with the new   business structure, DDD has launched a new Web site, so make sure you update your bookmarks to www.derbydevils.com.  

When not at practice, the Devils continue the business of promoting and growing the league across North Texas.  Clearly, DDD discovered a formula for success and are becoming stronger every season, heading into their fifth year of existence.  The league is the largest of its kind, boasting the largest roster of active skaters—nearly 100 at last count—in the country. Volunteers are welcome.  Security, production help, water boys, and ticket takers are a just few of the open positions.  The league’s sponsorship drive remains underway to defray the league’s operating costs.  Sponsors get bragging rights about being part of the derby revival at a ground level as they help the Dallas Derby Devils support worthy causes; a portion of all proceeds are donated to local charities.
