July 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Produced by a talented group of local actors, special effects artists, and filmmakers, Transylvania Television (TVTV) has been attracting college and Generation X audiences by blending traditional stand up, sitcom television, and pop culture references with their own cutting edge humor.  Thanks to the support of their fans through kickstarter.com, TVTV has raised enough funds to locally produce an hour-long Halloween special on the Twin Cities network CW (formally known as WB23) on October 22, 2010 at 11:00 pm (CDT).

What is TVTV?  TVTV can be described as an all-puppet sitcom aimed at adults.  Imagine if Avenue Q were crossbred with the classic Munsters TV show.  The production values for TVTV are professional grade and the producers hope that their work will create another Mystery Science Theater 3000 cult-like following.

Filmed and produced in Northeast Minneapolis by a talented group of film professionals, the creators wanted to bring something worthwhile and entertaining to the local Twin Cities market and they are making it available for free online.

TVTV Web series continues to gather steam as they begin filming their Halloween special and the producers and fleece animators of TVTV continue to expand their audience base. Using the Web and guerilla marketing tactics, TVTV has been reaching out to audiences via Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/transylvaniatv?ref=ts), iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/transylvania-televisio...), and Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/tvtv) while creating an army of “zombie minions” for their cult hit.

More About Transylvania Television:
TVTV is a Twin Cities produced horror sitcom that’s really NOT for kids. Like the enormously successful Avenue Q and South Park, TVTV exploits dark comedy to comment on such varied themes as recession, revenge, future shock, censorship, love, racism, and erroneous atomic monsters. The result is a cynically smart web series guaranteed to appeal. For more information, visit TVTV’s website at http://www.transylvania-tv.com.
