(Austin, TX): Greenleaf Book Group helped the Arbor Day Foundation plant an additional 7,000 trees in 2010 as part of the Tree NeutralTM program. Tree NeutralTM supports American forests by replacing every tree used for printing books with a new tree purchased by funds contributed through program participants. Since partnering with Tree NeutralTM in 2007, Greenleaf Book Group contributions have replaced over 20,000 trees. This year, Greenleaf helped replenish 2,700 trees in Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest and 4,014 trees in the Cary State Forest, both in Florida.
In 2010, Greenleaf Book Group also began offsetting its consumption of office paper by replenishing trees used for in-house printing. By including their in-house consumption in the Tree NeutralTM program, and by recycling all used paper, Greenleaf has further reduced its impact on the environment.
“It’s important for businesses to stay environmentally conscious. We have always made considerable efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle, but decided to go one step further by becoming Tree NeutralTM,” said CEO Clint Greenleaf.
