The Ukrainian National Museum is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in the USA of artist Ihor Havryshkevych, a native of Lviv, Ukraine. The exhibition will showcase over 20 works representing various genres, historical themes, still-lifes, and landscapes. Havryshkevych’ A Renaissance man, Havryshkevych is an outstanding creative artist, a recognized teacher of art fundamentals at the National Academy of Arts, and director of Lychachivksy Cemetery Museum. He is involved in the rebirth of folkloric customs and art, as well as a public figure engaged in the Lviv city council and parliament. The artist will be present at the opening of the exhibition which will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 7:00 pm. and run until August 28, 2010. The Ukrainian National Museum is located in the heart of the Ukrainian Village, at 2249 West Superior Street in Chicago.
