New York, NY - On Monday, October 18th, attendees will join tennis legends, Mats Wilander and John McEnroe, and a host of other celebrities for a full day of golf, tennis and entertainment at the Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY for the 12th Annual Mats Wilander Celebrity Tennis & Golf Classic. Tennis with the pros, 18 holes of golf and an exhibition match between Wilander and McEnroe round out the day’s highlights. Evening activities include a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by dinner, live music and dancing. DebRA is proud to announce this year’s Honoree, Babe Rizzuto, Vice President of PR at Conair Corporation.
Proceeds benefit the Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America (DebRA), the only national non-profit organization that funds research and provides direct services for patients and families suffering with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a debilitating genetic skin disease that is present in 1 out of every 50,000 live births. Today, there is no cure and the only treatment is daily wound care, bandaging and pain management. Support of this event will help DebRA fund research toward a cure, meet the increased demand for its programs and services, and help to brighten the lives of families struggling daily with this devastating disease.
