TF1 Group consolidated revenue rose 14% in the first half of 2010 to €1.285 million. Advertising revenue for the TF1 channel rose 11% year-over-year to €765 million, enabling the broadcaster to become the number one medium in France in terms of advertising expenditure.
Diversification revenue came to €520 million, year-on-year increase of €77 million, including €33 million from the resale of 2010 FIFA World Cup rights.
On the other hand, TF1 Group recorded a further €18 millon of recurring cost savings in the first half of 2010 thanks to ongoing optimisation measures. Net profit for the period was €74 million, an increase of 51% relative to the 2009 first-half figure of €49 million.
With regard to the 2010 full-year outlook, TF1 group is revising its revenue guidance upward to €2.530 million (7%). This compares with last year’s annual revenue of €2.365 million.
