Cree, Inc. and Philips have joined force in a comprehensive, worldwide LED patent cross-license agreement, aiming to further accelerate the growth of the LED lighting market.
The agreement includes patents from both parties in the fields of blue LED chip technology, white LEDs and phosphors (including remote phosphors), control systems, LED luminaries and lamps ,LED backlighting of LCDs and patents in the Philips LED Lumina ire Licensing Program.
At the beginning of this year, SPARK and CREE have reached long strategic business cooperation in the semiconductor lighting. The upgraded LED street light will all use high brightness American CREE LED. And this kind of cooperation is complied with idea for upgrade products. It will be more reliable and effective to solve the heat release issue and keep the quality more stable.
Based on the classic modular design-the first generation LED street light, Spark upgraded generation improves the module design as 4 × 6 arrays. The combination of high transmittance optical lens and high power CREE LED has really achieved high luminous efficiency (80lm/W), low power consumption and excellent heat dissipation characteristics of the LED lamp.
SPARK LED street light has realized intelligent functions, including light control, temperature control and time & phase control. The personal design will better meet on-going energy-saving demands in global market.
Besides, SPARK upgraded adopts a new independent intellectual property right of the intelligent driver. Leaded by a central control system, it can control the lamp brightness from 0-100% and feedback the working situation of each lamp to the central control system by remote control, and this kind of function can highly improve the management efficiency of road lighting administrative authority.
