Dear Cathy,
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful experience at your store in Chandler. Over six months have passed since I visited with my family, but the experience is as fresh in my mind as if it were yesterday. Three things stand out in my memory: your cakes, the bakery and your customer service.
What can I say about your cakes that will do them justice? They are beautiful, delicious, and delight all the senses. What more can one ask? Twice now I’ve had the pleasure of tasting your cakes, the first time at my cousin’s 18th birthday party in March last year and then five months later during our visit to your store. You gave us a lemon-flavored cake to sample, and my cousin’s birthday cake was decorated in a lovely gradient blue with a fairy on top.
My family and I were just admiring your cakes on display in the café and you offered to show us around your bakery right in the middle of your busy day. This was soon after lunch time. I could not believe it was that easy, no appointment or planning beforehand - just a spontaneous request on our part resulting in an immediate invitation to tour the place. All the members of our party enjoyed that day, but for me it was an especially joyous event, because I love to bake, and it has been a constant dream of mine (temporarily shelved) to have bakery of my very own. I’ve put that goal aside to make room for others, but baking remains one of my greatest passions.
Lastly, but in a way most important, was your hospitality, because without this quality , the other two would be non-existent. I would have called it customer service, but it felt more like family service. In a day and age when people use the term “we treat you just like family” very loosely, visiting your bakery made me feel like I was at home or visiting my grandmother’
