Tina is the new manager at The Minstrels Nursing Home, part of the retirement village of the same name, in Sleaford Road, Boston.
The home is set to undergo a refurbishment programme, incorporating a nine bed dementia unit. And Tina has also launched a recruitment drive to put in place the team which will take the new-look home into the future.
“It’s a very exciting time to join the team at The Minstrels,” said Tina. “There is so much to look forward to with new facilities and a facelift.”
Tina moved to The Minstrels, which is owned by Retirement Villages Ltd, after 12 years in care home management with a national care trust. She lives in Sutton St James and, living and having been based in Lincolnshire, she knows the area and the people.
“I was very impressed with the Retirement Villages ethos,” said Tina. “Care in the past has had lots of boundaries – people had to choose whether they wanted to live independently, needed nursing care or simply the support a residential home could offer. The Minstrels has all those options in one place so our residents have the security of knowing whatever they need, now or in the future, is here and the freedom to enjoy the level of independence they are able to.”
It was the convenience of being able to organise shifts round child care that first attracted Tina to a career in care. Now, she ‘loves it’.
“Every day something happens that gives me real job satisfaction,”
The Minstrels Nursing Home has 43 beds providing round the clock nursing care tailored to individual residents.
