According to the information from China National Tourism Administration, the Committee of National Hotel Stars Assessment canceled the five-star title of Hilton Chongqing Hotel recently because its illegal business and activities seriously damaged the image of China's star-level tourist hotels.
Hilton Chongqing was a five-star foreign-related tourist hotel, located at No.139 Zhongshan San Road, Yuzhong District of Chongqing China (

From June 20 this year, it was being suspended for 15 days by Chongqing police because of its illegal business and activities including sheltering or procuring another into prostitution and intentionally disturbing social order and resulting in adverse social impact. After 15 days of internal rectification, Chongqing police agreed it to try to resume business, and the service ranged over hotel accommodation, dining, conference, and fitness and so on. However, the KTV – Diamond Dynasty Amusement Hall on basement level one still need to suspend business.
The Committee of China National Hotel Stars Assessment announced that Hilton Chongqing Hotel had once been suspended for 15 days by police due to its illegal business and operation, which seriously damaged the image of China’s five-star tourist hotels and resulted in baneful influence in society. To this end, it decided to strip the five-star ranking of Hilton Chongqing Hotel.
