July 21, 2010 - PRLog -- In June, the first Great Mississippi Cleanup began removing debris, such as tires, appliances, plastic bottles and even a message in a bottle or two, from the shorelines of the upper Mississippi River.  Thousands of people are involved in this cleanup, but many more are needed for other river cleanup projects throughout the nation.  Chad Pegracke, founder of Living Lands and Waters, and Kathy Casso, of Anheuser-Busch, are on a recycling barge in the Mississippi River, with the majestic Gateway Arch in the background, to discuss how people can get involved with saving our rivers and waterways.

Employees of Anheuser-Busch have made cleaning up the Mississippi River an annual event and Casso discusses how other companies can get involved.   Living Lands and Waters is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving our nation’s rivers and water ways.   Pagracke has appeared on numerous national TV and radio shows authored a book about his passion for teaching people the importance of protecting America’s waterways.
