July 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Small Island star Benedict Cumberbatch plays Sherlock Holmes while The Office’s Martin Freeman is his trusty sidekick Doctor Watson. Despite trappings of the modern world like mobile phones and computers, the drama retains key elements of Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories, including Inspector Lestrade and arch nemesis Professor Moriarty. ‘He is in a world of forensic science, but I think people will still recognise him as being Sherlock Holmes despite him not having the deerstalker hat and pipe,’ says Benedict Cumberbatch.

Also in this week’s TV Choice, Sue Nicholls reveals what is in store for Corrie crimper Audrey Roberts, and Gavin & Stacey star Ruth Jones reveals more about her comedy The Great Outdoors. Comic John Bishop also chats about his new show, while Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker reveals why she has returned to Casualty.

God-fearing American youngsters meet their British counterparts in Amish: The World’s Squarest Teenagers, while conductor James Lowe recalls the challenge of creating the Halle Harmony Youth Orchestra in just a year.

In the soaps, Phil finds his son Ben battered and bruised when he visits him behind bars in EastEnders, while Charlotte and John have a body to get rid of in Coronation Street. Mark’s body is discovered in Emmerdale, and Nancy is taken hostage by the unhinged Loretta in Hollyoaks. Rob’s furious over Immie’s holiday plans in Doctors. Paul sabotages the building project and endangers Donna’s life in Neighbours, and Leah makes a tough decision about Elijah in Home And Away.

There’s also a luxurious London break for two to be won in this week’s competition, including tickets for dance spectacular Burn The Floor starring Brian Fortuna and Ali Bastian.
