July 20, 2010 - PRLog -- This past weekend legendary Grammy award winning hip hop artist Redman showcased “How High Ollie” as he jumped on his skateboard to land his sickest trick and rocked out with Staten Island’s skateboarding community during Richmond Hood Company’s second annual celebration of Skatedown in Stapletown.

This fun-filled afternoon powered by MetroPCS helped transformed Staten Island 's historic Van Duzer Street into a recreational space for skateboarders to trick out, hone their skills and celebrate with local skating enthusiasts. Redman joined pro-skater Brian Saul in providing afternoon competitive jam sessions to contestants of all ages and levels with Freestyle, Manual and Flip trick demonstrations. Several winners rolled away with prizes that included t-shirts, sneakers and skateboard decks provided by event partners MetroPCS, Converse and 5Boro NYC, among others.
