DJ Hevan, the Boston-based celebrity DJ, has launched a new lifestyle blog DJ Hevan’s “Pick of the Week” that will serve as a platform to showcase new and favorite products, services and music. It includes standouts in “Gear, Kicks, Music, Artists and Grub” from the Boston-area and beyond: Brooklyn Industries, the Orchard Skateshop and Code Blue Recovery Drink are among the first features.
“I’m always discovering new things both in Boston and on the road and needed a space to share my findings. I just stumbled upon the Orchard Skateshop after swinging by the Wonder Bar and was like ‘no way,’ so I started the blog to inform all my friends from the club. I’m hoping over time, they’ll start suggesting stuff to me, so it’s more of a two way street,” says DJ Hevan.
DJ Hevan is a fixture of Boston nightlife. He currently holds residencies at The Boiler Room in Worcester, MA and The Greatest Bar in Boston, every-other Friday, Saint and Whiskey Park Lounge in the Plaza Hotel every other Saturday, The Ocean Club on Sundays, and "Industry Mondays" at The Wonder Bar on Mondays; he also continues weekly guest-spots in various venues throughout the region. DJ Hevan has shared the stage with Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Nas, Cassidy, Gangstarr, KRS-One, Chingy, Asher Roth, Jim Jones and Fabolous, as well as Clinton Sparks, DJ RIZ and DJ Scene; spun at events for Vida Guerra, DMC (of Run-DMC), David Ortiz and the Boston Red Sox, Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics, and the New England Patriots; and recently appeared on on the BBC Radio 1 show “In DJ’s We Trust” with DJ Jaguar Skillz.
