Smart City Networks to unveil Internet management product at IAAM

Smart Connexion streamlines sale and provision of Internet services

July 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Smart City Networks announces that its newest product, Smart Connexion, which streamlines the provision and sale of Internet services at event facilities without the need for dedicated staff, will be unveiled at the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) 85th Annual Conference and Trade Show beginning July 23 in Houston.

Smart City Networks has been the leader in providing event technology at the nation’s major convention centers for over 25 years.  Now, Smart City Networks has created Smart Connexion specifically for small and mid-sized convention facilities that do not have dedicated technical or customer service staff to oversee the provision and sale of Internet services.

Smart Connexion is designed for venues such as hotel conference centers, stadiums, college facilities, meeting spaces and business centers, and provides a business solution that simplifies and enhances the management of Internet services.

“Smart Connexion is a cost-efficient and easy-to-use solution to streamlining and managing Internet services at venues whose staff members wear multiple hats,” said Mark Haley, president of Smart City Networks. “With Smart Connexion you can easily provide the best Internet services to your customers without having to hire dedicated staff to oversee the process.”

Compatible with a facility’s existing infrastructure and bandwidth provider, Smart Connexion enables centers to capitalize on their technology investment and simply “plug-in” the new device to streamline on-demand Wi-Fi, pre-ordered wireless, and deployment of wired Internet services.

Venues with Smart Connexion can determine their own individual pricing structure and offerings for Internet services.  All order processing, billing, credit card security, and financial reporting systems are built in to the system.  In addition, Smart Connexion provides the interfaces needed for a venue to communicate effectively with event managers on Internet orders.

Haley added that venues using Smart Connexion will have access to Smart City’s experienced customer service representatives and technical support engineers for the occasional configuration or order issues that may arise during an event.  Additional options for dedicated customer service and supplemental technical support can be customized for the facility as needed.

Smart Connexion will be available for a low, one-time initiation fee plus a fixed monthly cost, which is scalable per facility based on volume.  More detailed information about Smart Connexion can be found on the Smart City website: http://www.smartcity.com/conventions/smartconnexion.asp.
