Bangalore, India, July 15th, 2010 – Bangalore based PK4 Software Technologies today announced that it has decreased the prices of additional bandwidth and storage for ImpelCRM dramatically. In April this year, PK4 moved the Impel hosting from a co-located Level-3 data center locally to Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) hosting. EC2 is a web
service that provides secure and reliable, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. EC2 allows PK4 to quickly scale capacity, both up and down as required. It changes the economics of computing by allowing PK4 to pay only for the capacity that is actually used. It also provides PK4 the tools to build failure resilient applications.

Mr. Narasimhan (Kishore) Mandyam, CEO of PK4  Software said, “EC2 provides a 99.95% availability commitment and a highly secure and proven network”, he said. “It gives us the flexibility to increase or decrease capacity in minutes. We also get the benefit of Amazon’s huge scale of operations. We get a much lower rate for the actual compute
capacity that we use. We decided to pass on the savings directly to our customers. We have therefore reduced the price of additional storage by over 60% and the cost of additional bandwidth by about 90%”, he added. ImpelCRM includes a standard amount of disk capacity and bandwidth usage in its normal subscription price. Usage above the quota is charged additionally.
