July 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Heath, TX – The Alternative Board® (TAB), an organization that offers owners of small to medium-size businesses real world business advice, is expanding its business in the DFW Area with the addition of TAB NE Dallas – Rockwall.  Bradley Chilcote, a TAB-Certified Facilitator, will meet monthly with local business owners to discuss problems or opportunities they currently face.  The expanded territory includes Forney, Garland, Lavon, Murphy, Richardson, Rockwall, Rowlett, Royce City, Sachse, Terrell, Wylie and surrounding areas.

TAB has operated throughout the DFW area for 10 years, with franchises as far west as Fort Worth and as far north as McKinney.  There are over 100 DFW businesses that currently benefit from membership.  Internationally, according to a survey of over 3000 member companies, 67% were able to increase their revenues or hold them steady in 2009; and 91% of the members indicated they plan to increase their workforce in 2010 or make no changes.

Each peer advisory board is made up of business owners, CEOs and presidents from, non-competing businesses who meet monthly in a “think tank” atmosphere where they can learn from one another and create new business solutions. In addition to the monthly meetings, board members meet for individual coaching sessions with their facilitator.  The DFW area facilitators work closely with each other, which promotes collaboration among and between facilitators and their members both locally and internationally for a broader source of business experience and knowledge.

Bill Bryan, President of Microconsult, Inc. in Carrollton joined TAB in 2008, “I have a friend who tried to get me to visit his TAB meeting for several years.  I finally attended a free TAB lunch which was filled with great information that was also “no pressure”.  As president of a company with 35% growth over the past three years and a staff increase from six to eighteen people over 18 months, the ideas, suggestions and time I have saved has been invaluable.  Since my company is small and I do not have a separate sales, marketing, or legal department, the sharing of issues and potential solutions with my peers has been invaluable”.

“Now, for the first time in my 30 year career as an entrepreneur,” according to Tony Ford, Senior Associate for Kasper & Associates in Fort Worth, “I am surrounded by a group of experienced, pro-active business leaders who really WANT to help me and my company maximize every opportunity.  These are definitely very high-trust, open-hearted relationships.  Where else can a mature business owner find people that care enough to tell him or her the truth?”

The Alternative Board NE Dallas - Rockwall will be hosting several free breakfast or luncheon informational meetings for business owners in this territory during the first two weeks of August.  More information about this opportunity and these events may be found at http://www.tabnedallasrockwall.com.
