Hauppauge, New York – July 14, 2010- Fuoco Group, a leader in Accounting & Business Advisory, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joel E. Ackerman, CPA, MST as Director. Joel joined the Fuoco Group team on July 1, 2010.

Ackerman received his B.S. degree from Syracuse University and his M.S. degree from Long Island University – C.W. Post in 2000. He is a founding member of the Warehouse Solutions Group, a resource group for warehouse owners. Joel is highly active in his community where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees with the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Joel at this time is a Board Member of the Institute of Management Accountants – Long Island Chapter.

In his role with the Fuoco Group, Ackerman is responsible for leading Specialty Tax Services including Cost Segregation and Energy Efficiency Studies. With his extensive background in real estate he has provided services to many industries including manufacturing, warehousing and healthcare, to hotel construction and management. His experience also encompasses taxation of individuals, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations.
