This affordable program, offered locally under the auspices of Langley Continuing Education, is jam packed with information and insights for anyone who is involved in the music industry or who aspires to be. It is a rare opportunity to learn what it takes to successfully pursue a career and prosper in this exciting and challenging business.
Your Career In Music is designed to teach participants how to strategize their career and know how and when to take the appropriate steps. They will learn about who does what in the industry and how to establish strong working relationships, about contracts and protecting their interests, how to approach recording and music video projects, the ins and outs of publishing and copyright, important secrets to saving time and money, the many ways to make and maximize income, the digital scene, gigging, touring, promotion and much, much more. Plus, they will get an opportunity to have their music or promo material critiqued.
The course begins September 28. Special group rates apply for bands/ensembles. Parents of young talents are also encouraged to attend.
About the instructor: Graham Way has an extensive background of over 30 years domestic and international experience in the music industry. He is founder of several companies and a former performer, songwriter and recording artist.
