These upgrades include installation of high-efficiency electronic ballasts, reflector systems, controls, efficient lamps, light-emitting diodes (LED), high-intensity discharge (HID) lighting and daylighting systems. The outcome is a reduced electricity consumption and improved lightning conditions (as we install devices with higher luminosity, which means more light).
  3. Installation of energy management controls systems, such as direct digital controls, occupancy/motion sensors, thermostats, photocells and direct load controls; which automatically adjust lightning and temperature conditions depending on the presence of people, time of the day, amount of light inside the building and temperature/humidity outside and inside the building.
  4. Replacement of the electrical motors with a high-efficiency motors and variable speed/variable frequency drives (VSD/VFD).
  5. Installation of solar panels, wind turbines and efficient diesel backup generators with inverters, batteries and transfer switches with possibility of returning energy back into grid and getting paid for it (Ontario’s Feed-In Tariff program)
