The demand and need for a full size suv has never diminished, it is the most practical mode of transport for the large family,  a way to address the environmental issues of large vehicles has been found.
For 2010 and into 2011 GM have a range of full-size suv’s all with a Hybrid propulsion system.
GM has a range of vehicles available with Green credentials, the range topping Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid, the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid and GMC Yukon Hybrid, and the pick up trucks:- the Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid and GMC Sierra Hybrid.
All these vehicles are available with the powerful Vortec 6.0L V8 engine with GM’s unique active fuel management that generates 332 HP and 367 lb.-ft. of torque.  The GM Hybrid offers over 25 MPG on average, making it the most fuel efficient suv in its class. That’s also better fuel economy than a six cylinder Toyota Camry or Honda Accord.
All this is made possible by the Two-Mode Hybrid system. It employs two small motors efficiently packaged inside the automatic transmission. That reduces the need for large electric motors like you’ll find in a single-mode hybrid system. The two modes are beautifully synced to shift seamlessly for smooth acceleration. The regenerative braking system captures the otherwise lost energy caused by braking and coasting and captures it, returning that energy into the 36 volt nickel hydride battery for future use.  This maximises fuel efficiency by charging the battery with the least amount of fuel.
As a driver, you won’t even notice when the Hybrid switches modes. There’s no compromise when it comes to safety either, with a 5-STAR US government safety rating for both frontal and side-impact crash tests.
