Alisa Marie Beyer Unveils Future Trends of Women Beauty Buyers at Cosmoprof

Alisa Marie is one of three featured speakers during a session titled “Look Back, Look Ahead, Look Within”, scheduled for Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in Pavilion B.

Other panelists will focus on the recent state of the beauty market and will look within the retail reality while Alisa Marie will examine implications of the beauty market for brands and consumers today.

“As our industry rapidly advances to keep up with the evolution of not only the beauty buyer, but the innovations that keep us all in business, I predict that psychographic trends – those deep, psycho-cultural beliefs that illuminate not only how women live their lives, but how (and why) they buy beauty – are going to be equally as important as the next must-have lipstick color or anti-aging super-ingredient,” Alisa Marie says. “As we emerge from the financial changes of the past two years, never have we needed to pay more attention to these shifting cultural trends than now.”

Consumer perception of exclusivity, luxury and well-being are changing the shape of the beauty industry, as noted in a Cosmoprof event release.  “New opportunities can be found through a focus on lifestyle, functional benefits and value, but brand owners must reconsider marketing strategies and focus on establishing a greater emotional bond through more personalized marketing and brand awareness,” according to the Cosmoprof release.

In her presentation, Alisa Marie will focus on Women Trends® that unlike predictions for the next great lip gloss color, psychographic trends don’t just pop up and then fade away.  “These cultural patterns are woven into the very core of your consumer and will continue to impact how she interacts with your brand in 2011 and beyond,” she adds. “By understanding how these psychographic themes and values are impacting your consumer now, you will be one-step ahead of any trend watcher because your brand will already be setting the trends that she wants to see.”
