Elevator grants, sponsored by the Chicago based Coleman Foundation, have become a popular feature of the Annual Conference and are being offered again this year. An elevator grant is based on the skill of describing a new business venture in a three-minute pitch. Immediate deliberation by the foundation's board and staff ensure on-the-spot funding with grant checks presented at the last session of the NACCE conference. The Coleman Foundation awarded $70,000 at the 2009 conference and plans on exceeding their offering at this year’s Annual Conference.
