Maxell Showcases iVDR VC102 At IBC Show, Amsterdam, Hall 11, Stand B50

Further to an absence at the show last year, Maxell will this year co-exhibit with one of their sister companies’, Hitachi Kokusai, also owned by their parent company, Hitachi Ltd.

New iVDR VC102 – rugged video capture device
This new iVDR VC102 direct-to-disc Video Capture Drive converts the output of a digital camera to a non-linear editing format and stores it on an iVDR cartridge, therefore bringing the advantage of iVDR technology to a wide variety of video recording devices.
This removable media offers great flexibility in the field, is pocket size, lightweight and more durable than other external hard drives, and with a storage capacity up to 500GB,
it keeps all your digital footage secure. Supports DV, DVCAM, DVCPRO, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD & HDV, Quicktime and AVI

XD Cam (single layer/dual layer)
XD cam offers high capacity storage and a fast transfer rate. The highly durable hard-coating technology protects discs from scratches on the recording surface, giving a stable and reliable performance in recording and playback. Available in 23GB (single layer disc) and 50GB (dual layer disc) capacities, XD Cam is compatible with an MPEG HD422 recorder, offering outstanding picture and sound quality.

P2 Professional Grade Memory Card – E series
This professional solid-state memory card offers fast, file-based workflow for camera recording, non-linear editing, and data transmission.  Also offering a super-durable memory which stands up to the repeated insertion and removal up to 30,000 cycles, the P2 E series memory card provides high durability in repeated use, is resistant to vibration, shock and temperature change, making it ideal for recording in the field. Available in three recording capacities including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, which is capable of approximately 2 hours in HD recording.

LTO5 Data Tape for Archiving
When you need a solution for archiving tape footage or sensitive information, LTO Ultrium 5 is the data tape to choose.  Featuring secure data encryption capabilities to transport and store sensitive or confidential information, LTO 5 is manufactured with advanced ultra-fine Ceramic Armour metal particles, protecting it from corrosion, enables up to 3TB capacity and provides advanced archival storage life.
