Business Coaching: 3 Steps to Shamelessly Promote Business

However, to get clients buying constantly, you must market – or promote – your business constantly. Conscious marketing involves becoming a shameless (unashamed) promoter of your business!

In working with clients as a business coach and life coach, I find that the # 1 reason that people fail to market adequately isn’t that they don’t know how (that’s #2) but that they don’t totally believe in themselves and the VALUE of what they are offering.

To become a shameless promoter, follow these 3 steps:

Believe deeply in the value of what you are offering – develop a millionaire mindset of total belief that every person in your target market will be better off when your product or service. The easiest way to do this is to make a list of compelling benefits that you business provides. Develop a shift in your beliefs – develop a millionaire mindset – by reading these and thinking about why they are true. Simply put, convince yourself and you’ll have the mindset you need.
When you meet anyone who is in your target market, find out what they want and need, and give a brief introduction about yourself and your business. Emotionally connect with them, get their business card or contact information, and give them your business card or way to contact you.

Follow up with everyone you meet who meets your client profile – get their card. If they sign up for a free offer at your site as a result of your meeting them, send them a personalized email. Week after week, email them, send them mailings, and continue giving them valuable information as a way of educating them on all the value you have to offer. Let them know why they should be doing business with YOU!

Make promoting your business your favorite activity. And, when you promote, ALWAYS, always focus on them – by asking them about their challenges, what they want, and telling them a benefit you want to give them and how they can get it.
